V8 Engines are supplied either as a short engine assembly including camshaft & timing equipment fitted or in a STRIPPED condition as illustrated below. This applies to an engine which will only run with the addition of ancillaries.

Details of engines supplied are given below. For technical information visit our remanufacturing process pages. All remanufactured engines are built with our ductile iron flanged linered block castings.

* Heavy duty Ductile iron flanged linered blocks (top hat flanged liners) - Ductile iron is an extremely heavy duty material which is used in high performance race engines including top fuel dragsters. This extremely robust material offers significantly higher strength in the critical flange area of the liner. Our design is unique in that it also incorporates a seal at the bottom of the liner. This type of liner is unique to Turner Engineering and not available elsewhere. Our confidence is such in this product line that we offer a three year warranty on the block casting.

4.6 - 4.0 - 3.9 V8 stripped engine Engine assembled with remanufactured short engine - (ductile iron flanged linered block casting), cylinder heads, rocker equipment, hydraulic lifters, pushrods. *The H180 'Sports Torque' camshaft has been designed as a straight forward replacement performance cam for the Rover V8 engine and is available for both 'GEMS' and 'MEMS' engine variants.

With a duration of 262º and a valve lift of 11.2mm the H180 improves low end torque and is capable of increasing peak power by 22bhp, all whilst retaining the use of OE valve springs and maintains stable idle characteristics essential for: everyday use, on or off road, manual or automatic gearbox cars.

The new camshaft is produced on an improved 'Chilled Iron' cam blank which gives significantly superior reliability over the original production cams.

WARRANTY - All engines are supplied with a 12 months unlimited mileage written warranty, ductile iron flanged linered block casting guaranteed for a further 2 years. (details on request) together with fitting instructions. Stripped engines are supplied with fitting gaskets..
